In some instances, users may want to align all accounts to the left and don't prefer the indentation in their accounts when running a report. This guide will assist in ensuring your balance sheet items are perfectly aligned to the left in your Active Ledger and Reporting reports.

With the screenshot below all Equity accounts are aligned to the left, while Assets and Liability child accounts are indented to the right.

Follow the steps below to align all balance sheet items to the left within your Active Reporting and Ledger tools:
Step 1: Navigate to the Admin Centre
Log into your Active product and access the Admin Centre. This is your command centre for customization.
Step 2: Navigate to Report Styles
Within the Admin Centre, locate and select 'Report Styles.' This option lets you change how your financial reports are displayed.
Step 3: Choose Your Report Style
Identify and select the specific report style that you're using for your balance sheet. If there are multiple styles, pick the one you need to correct.
Step 4: Adjust the Report Table Settings
In the settings menu, find the 'Report Table' section. This controls the format and layout of your report elements.
Step 5: Modify Margin Settings for Level 1
Within the Report Table settings, adjust the 'Margin-Left' setting to 0 for level 1 items. This will align them with the left edge of the page.
Step 6: Apply Changes to All Levels
Ensure you apply this margin change for all item levels, up to level 6, to achieve uniform left alignment across your report.
By implementing these steps, your financial reports will look clean, professional, and will be easier to read.
