Updated over 2 months ago

Overview: When accessing a binder or Ledger file under a client, users may occasionally encounter the following error:

"You are not authorised to access this data. If you believe this is incorrect, please try logging out and back in to ensure that your access permissions are up to date. If the issue persists, please contact the system administrator for further assistance."

Resolution

  • Try logging out and then logging back in. Afterward, attempt to access the binder or Ledger file again.

  • If the issue persists, please contact your Active Administrator to verify if you have access to the Office that the client belongs to.

  • The Partner for the Client/Job can also click Edit Group (as shown in the screenshot) to check if the client is restricted. If restricted, review the whitelist users list to ensure the impacted user is included.

  • In the Clients screen, confirm there are no sync issues for the client. Sync issues are indicated by a red dot above the cog icon on the far right of the Client listing.

  • Ask your Active Workpapers Administrator to:

    • Verify that your firm's subscription to this module is active.

    • Confirm that the impacted user profile is not marked as inactive.

    • Check that the impacted user profile is licensed for this module.

If the issue persists, please see related help articles below and/or contact Support using the Help widget located at the top right of the platform.:
