How to understand last synced date in Active Workpaper binders

To assist users to understand how we calculate the last synced date for Active Workpaper binders.

Overview: Users may occasionally find that they've completed some work in an Active Workpapers binder, but when hovering over the Open in Excel button, the last synced date has not updated.

Understanding last synced date

The last sync date does not indicate the last time your work was saved to the Active Platform/Sharepoint. Instead, it reflects the most recent time any of the following specific actions occurred:

  • A record or worksheet was added, deleted, or inserted into your Excel workbook.

  • Key values within Excel were updated β€” for example, editing/adding reconciliation fields.

Actions that do not affect in this date's compute include:

  • Typing data into a sheet or table and clicking save.

  • Refreshing the add-in.
